Sonya Weiland, President of WeilandWorks Consulting, has built her career by building positive relationships as a strategic HR partner to many organizations. Sonya has partnered with Senior Executives to develop talent management and HR solutions with a clear link to business results. Her expertise includes the design and implementation of training, creating HR systems, performance management and evaluations.
Sonya has worked in a variety of industries including manufacturing, banking, construction and non-profit. Sonya also serves as an adjunct instructor at Right Management, leads local career seminars and business development groups. Prior to establishing WeilandWorks Consulting, Sonya was an HR Manager for a Fortune 100 Retailer, as well as, Operations & Sales Manager for multiple organizations.
Currently she is enjoying partnering with CEO’s to create or improve their HR Management presence, reduce risks and establish standards for long-term success. Sonya continues to provide a ROI through improved performance, retention of team members and providing compliance security and professional peace of mind to her clients.
Sonya is a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) through the Human Resource Certification Institute and an active member of The Cleveland Coach Federation and The Society for Human Resource Management. Her professional interests include the human resource policy implications of federal laws & regulations, and the struggles of non-profit organizations & small businesses to meet their human resource needs. An advocate for community involvement, Sonya serves on an advisory board and supports multiple non-profit organizations.
Sonya has contributed to articles in The Cleveland Plain Dealer and HR Publications. She has presented keynote addresses for corporations and associations, as well as, designed and delivered ½ day, full day and multi-day workshops.
