Alzheimer’s Association, Cleveland
The fight to end Alzheimer’s is a passion for Your Partner In HR. Amy, Linda, Kate and Natalie have all personally lost loved ones as we continue to search for a cure for this terrible form of dementia. YPHR partners with Enza Financial to support their Annual ALZ Golf Outing, landing #20 in the nation for funds raised for Alzheimer’s in 2023.
Alzheimer’s Association, Akron
YPHR is “Taking Steps” to end Alzheimer’s each year with the Akron Chapter Walk at the Rubber Ducks Canal Park. In 2023, we provided water and snacks for 1,000 walkers led by Kate Dashner with the support of Lori Sprague and their friends and families. This year’s event was the largest to date, and we look forward to supporting again next year.
Habitat for Humanity, Greater Cleveland
Habitat for Humanity is not only a client, but a mission that our team supports wholeheartedly. Since 2015, YPHR Partners have supported HfH as trainers, board members, volunteers and fundraisers. For years, we’ve enthusiastically supported the Walk/Run/Mosey, and in 2022 we spent a hands-on day with a family restoring and repairing their future home.
Dragons on the Lake, Breast Cancer Survivors and Supporters
Your Partner In HR, along with our clients and families, filled a boat to compete and support the Dragon Boat Festival with 1,500 other paddlers at Portage Lakes State Park. Breast Cancer is still the most common cancer among American women, but survival rate is 91% overall. Dragon boating empowers women to take back their lives and move forward in the spirit of fun, friendship, health and wellness.
Project White Butterfly, Dispelling the Stigma of Substance Use Disorder
Project White Butterfly is a growing young non-profit focused on helping people struggling with the disease of Substance Use Disorder find a path to recovery, and reducing the stigma that impedes recovery. Our very own Gary Szelagowski serves on the Board of this grassroots organization that his daughter, Sara, founded in 2019.
SHRM Foundation, Cleveland and Akron
Your Partner in HR annually supports the promotion of our industry and educational opportunities through the Cleveland and Akron Chapters of SHRM (The Society for Human Resource Management). Whether we’re on the golf course or raffling off gift baskets at the Christmas auction, you’ll find us supporting these great organizations!
